What are the experiences of school leaders who lead urban schools and how do they prepare for headship and he challenges they will face during their first year in post? Six new headteachers and four more experienced headteachers (in post between two and four years) were interviewed as part of a piece of research to investigate what the big issues are for new headteachers.

Why wellbeing matters to teachers and leaders
Domini Bingham, LCLL tutor's article on Wellbeing for teachers and leaders appears in the Autumn edition of Education Today, the quarterly journal of The College of Teachers.

Wellbeing for teachers and leaders is topical as staff in educational settings are experiencing ever more pressure in the workplace and so the leading for wellbeing in educational organisations is an important area of study.
